Martes y Miércoles.
Second blog by Amelia Zarebska.
On Tuesday, we started our day in Spanish class. We learned
how to say the basics in Spanish, but we knew almost everything because we are
the best. Then we took a bus to Murcia. We walked around for a little bit, then
we went to our first museum, Murcia Aquarium. It was very nice. After that, we
walked straight to the 'Science and Water Museum.' It was fun as well, but we
started to get a little bit tired when we went into the room to listen to a
story. All of us Icelandic kids had fallen asleep, even Lilja for a second.
Kristjana was not very happy about that, but we had a laugh. Then we split up,
and us Icelandic kids went to hamborgarakónginn. Afterward, we got a cultural
tour around Murcia city centre. On the way, us girls saw a Sephora, so we made
the whole group stop just so we could go shopping. Thank you, Viktoria. Then we
visited our last museum, Saint Clare Museum. By that time, we were really
tired. Ruben and Nana swapped their name tags, so for the rest of the day,
Ruben was Nana Yaw, and Nana was Ruben Marco. Then we went back to Orihuela.
When we got back to school, we decided to play football. I was in the goal, but
I was horrible, so Joaquin took over. Then Nana scored. I said he was worse
than me, Joaquín said no, I didn’t see Nana because it was dark outside. Then
we ended for the day.
On Wednesday, we went to normal classes with our
partners. Me, Ari, Juliana, Jorge, Solveig, Óli, Joaquin, and Ruben went to
P.E. The teacher said that we would go on a walk, but then we hiked to the top
of the mountain. It was very beautiful, but we were not ready for it. Then we
learned about the European Union from Ana Alonso. It was very interesting to
see what we can participate in. Then we got a tour around Domingo School. The
school was so beautiful. On the walk around Orihuela, Juliana stepped in poop.
Joaquin said that means good luck. Nana said it was big poo, so big luck. Ruben
said that Juliana can’t go into the museum because it will stink. The tour was
very nice, and the guide, Miguel, did an amazing job. After that, we had lunch.
We had a lot of fun and laughs together, then we all went home to rest.
