First days in Orihuela

We landed in Alicante at 20:00 and had a lot of fun on the airplane. We slept well and played Uno. When we arrived in Orihuela, we went to our family's place which made me a little anxious but very excited. They were all really sweet. When we arrived home, we had dinner and went to sleep.

 

On the first full day, we went to Alicante. Everyone arrived early except me and Ariandna because we woke up late, so we drove straight to the mall to meet up with the rest of the group. It was very nice to meet everyone.

 

On Monday, we arrived at school at 8:00. We were welcomed by the school and split into two groups. We had to do some exercises together, the funniest one was when we had to make an animal sound - how it sounds in Spain vs in Iceland. After that, we got a tour of the school and we were all very surprised by how big the school is.

 

Then, we took a bus to the MUDIC museum. We got a tour of the museum and Jorge translated everything because the tour guide didn’t know English. Then we did a science workshop together with clay. It was fun to learn something new and to do some activities with the group.

 

Then it was lunch time, the food was good. The funny part was how Ruben ate three whole plates of pasta, and me and Sólveig were in shock. Then we took a bus to a shopping centre in Orihuela. When we were getting on the bus, Juliana fell on top of me and we were all laughing.

 

We hung out in the shopping centre for a couple of hours then it was time to head back to school. We walked through the city which was very beautiful. Then we got to see Jupiter and Saturn and we all went home.
