Botond's Icelandic Expedition

 Post by Botond Bóta

I think there are so many things that foreigners can learn in Iceland. So if you want to gain some knowledge and see some beautiful scenery at the same time then you should come to Iceland so you can kill two birds with one stone.

The first thing is that Icelanders are really proud of their predecessors so if you come here you will definitely learn about the country's explorers and other important historical figures.

The second thing I learned is that a large part of the population believes in mythical beings such as trolls, elves and hidden people. Most people believe in them because they have actually met these creatures or have been told convincing stories by family members.

The third thing is that actually the Marvel movies and the Lord of the Rings books are based on a book written by an Icelandic author.

We visited many interesting and beautiful places recently but I liked Flyover Iceland the most. I had never experienced anything like it so it was very new to me. It was very realistic and I almost thought I was actually flying in the mountains and not just watching a screen.

The fake wind and rain totally made me believe that I was in the place that I saw, so I can say it was super realistic.

Finally I would like to thank you for allowing me to come to Iceland and meet friendly people and see breathtaking landscapes. I can now say that I have been here, which is something very few people in Europe can say.
