Frozen Dreams: Anna's Icelandic Adventure
A post by Anna Kinga Bolcsó
In this week I visited Iceland with an Erasmus+ program
which will be always stays in my heart like one of my favourite holiday.
I learned about the Icelandic culture, about the people who
think elves are exist and I learned about the Icelandic history, about the
sagas and Vikings.
I truly believe we had many interesting activities but my
favourite ones were when we were in Reykjavík by ourselves on Tuesday and the
Flyover on Thursday. I admired the view from the bus the whole trip. I loved
the walk on Wednesday. This island looks like a different world.
I and my host went every evening to driving and talking to
know each other better. He showed me some Icelandic music and now those are my
favourites. We also told stories about ourselves and we were laughing so hard
when one of us said something funny. He is a talented driver I guess. We made a
great friendship.
The Hungarians and the Icelanders spent almost every night
together somewhere and these were great activities. We played billiard, foosball
and table tennis. We also went to an ice-cream seller place once.
I liked the Icelandic teachers they were so kind every time
even when we were late almost every morning. They made for us the best programs
and they took us riding horses also. It was fun until my host allergic
reaction. I am so thankful for Kristjana and Lilja.
I am very disappointed that we couldn't saw the Northern
Lights. I am still crossing my fingers that we might see it in this 2 evenings.
Overall, I do not want to go home yet but I know we will
meet each other in April. We are waiting for you in Hungary.
