We would like to thank the Hungarian team for allowing us to visit. Our students had an amazing time and we feel that they have benefited greatly from the visit. Norbert put together a very interesting program which we all enjoyed. A big thank you to all the families for opening up their homes and allow our students to stay.  Kristjana Hrönn and Lilja Dögg, teachers.

A post by Almar Örn Gærdbo Arnarson We arrived around lunch on Saturday the 13. of April. We got a bus to Eger and met our hosts there. We went straight to lunch at the house and got a tour of our rooms. After seeing our rooms we went to sleep. In the evening we went to see Csenge sing at a pub. On the next day, Sunday we went on a road trip and got on a boat and sailed around a lake. We also looked at some animals.  On Monday we went to Budapest. We got there early and walked around the city. Norbert told us about a lot of things about the early royal family. Then we went to the parliament. It was awesome. When we got home after Budapest we just had to rest a bit. On Tuesday we got around the school and after lunch we walked around Eger. Norbert showed us some important places and then we participated in a scavenger hunt. It was very fun but it was raining. After the program we all went together to a spa. It was very nice and relaxing. On Wednesday We got to the school and learned to

A post by Fannar Logi Waldorff Sigurðsson We started our Journey on the 12th April, and got there on the 13th April, in the evening. I went to the local football field where I played till dark. On the first full day I went on the mountain Eged and got to see the entire town and further. We went to Budapest to explore the city. We visited Hero Square, The parliament house and many other places.  The next day we were exploring the school and learning about the literature and history of Eger. After that we went on a treasure hunt around the town. Then ended that day with an amazing spa. We went exploring the bishop palace and visited the old wine sealer. Later that night we went bowling which was really relaxing. The best day was definitely Thursday when we went on the train to the national park and went looking into a cave. Then after that we had a barbeque where we cooked and talked late into the night. The last full day we started by going to visit the castle of Eger and the house whe

Traveling to Hungary

A post by Hugrún Lind Stefánsdóttir This trip was very fun and exciting. We learned a lot about the Hungarian culture and past. We landed on a Saturday and went to Eger by a car. We met our families and had lunch and got a bit of rest after a long day of travelling. But then we went to a birthday party later that day and saw Csenge sing and play the guitar.  On Sunday we decided to go to a small zoo and took a boat ride for an hour and saw the beautiful landscape. We then went to look at the animals and saw some fishes, goats, sheep and some deers. The first day we had a program we went to Budapest and I think the most interesting, exciting and beautiful place we visited was the parliament and learned about the history of the first king, Saint Stephen. We also walked around a dock where people were told to take off their in 1944-1945 since the shoes were the most expensive part of their “outfit” and then they were shot in the head and were let to fall into a river.  The second day we
